• Is Working From Home for Me_

Is working from home for me?

Lots of people want to work from home, but have you ever asked yourself, ‘Is working from home for me?’ In my last post, I talked about how I began working from home and I do love working from home. Working from home is something I had wanted to do since our kids were young.  I’ve always liked working and keeping busy, and since I was a stay at home mom, trying to find some work to do from home seemed logical. I tried to put together a lot of work from home jobs, but not many panned out for a long time. Right before I started working at HSB…

    Do you work from home?

I have been a work at home wife and mother for 7 years.  My work from home journey started back in November 2011, and it started in a very unusual way. In September 2003 we moved from Illinois, where I had a huge homeschool support group, to a small town in Idaho, with hardly any support at all. Around 2005 I found a homeschooling blogging site called HomeschoolBlogger.com, and a friend of mine encouraged me to join to make some more homeschool friends.  Unbeknownst to me at the time, that one decision would eventually make it possible for me to do what I love while working from home. • 24th Wedding Anniversary

On June 11th we celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary! We decided to keep it low key this year and just drove to Jackson Hole Wy, which is a few hours away from us.  It was our first time there, and it was so much fun.  We walked around, enjoyed the sites and loved the beauty of nature. I am so blessed to be with Paul for 24 years.  It hasn’t always been easy, but I couldn’t imagine my life with anyone else.  I thank the Lord that He brought Paul into my life.  I look forward to at least 24 more years.  🙂

  • Life Changes

I had no idea 9 months ago when I wrote the post Colder Weather that I wouldn’t have the time or even desire to blog for such a long time.  As my title says, there have been a lot of Life Changes in the past nine months.  For the most part, I can’t talk about a lot of the changes but to say one of our children has gone through some major issues which have impacted our lives tremendously.  It’s been a long, hard, tiring, road, but we’ve seen the Lord work miracles during this time.  The Lord gave me Ephesians 3:20 when it first started getting really hard in…

  • Colder Weather

It has been a very interesting and different summer for me and my family.  If you want to read about it more you can here.  Beyond that, we’ve been busy with life.  Two big things that have happened is Sarah has moved out and Paulie has gotten his drivers license!  😀  Both of those major events have truly brought us to another new phase of our lives.  We are back to a 3 person household, and we no longer need to make sure we are always available to drive Paulie to his things.  I am truly blessed we are in another new phase, but it always takes a little while…
