• Blessed by friends and family

As I’m coming up to my 6 week mark since my surgery, I’ve been thinking a lot about the first few days after I got home.  My family and my best friend really rallied around me and took care of me.  They made sure we had food in the house, someone always with me for the first week so I didn’t have to pick anything up myself and around in case I had issues.  Plus just being with me chatting and keeping me company.  You can’t ask for better friends and family than that.  🙂  I wish I had thought to get a picture of my mom and me.  She…

  • Hanging out with friends

We moved to Idaho from Illinois over 12 years ago.  It’s always hard to leave family and friends but we knew then it was what we wanted to do.  One of my greatest worries was making friends.  In Illinois, where I had pretty much grown up, I had quite a few friends.  Some closer than others, but going to the same church for so long, living in the same area etc… you tend to make some close friends.  I just wondered how it would all be after the move. The Lord has blessed me with friends out here, some way closer than others.  I have one friend, the first I…

  • Friday Favorites ~ 3/27

We used to live in Illinois before we moved here to Idaho 11 years ago.  We live in a very small area now, and though we love it and enjoy the beautiful scenery and area, there are 2 things we miss from Illinois, culture and food.  😀 We have museums and a theater, but they are all on a very small scale.  We miss the Chicago theaters and such, like I said, culture.  But one of the things we missed the most is the food.  The varieties of different foods and restaurants in Chicagoland is something that out here doesn’t have at all.  So the other day on Facebook Paul…

  • The beginning of 2015

It’s been a busy first days of 2015 and it’s already going by too fast.  🙂 I would like to say that I’ve been busy crafting, reading and fun things like that but what’s kept me the busiest is my job.  But that is a good thing for me because we’ve opened up a new site and now I have my own cottage shop to sell my crafts.  Now that the site is up and running, the rest of my month will slow down with work, which means more time to create crafts to go in my store.  😀 I’ve also been playing with my new toy too, and enjoying…

  • Vacation fun

It was a great week last on for our fall vacation.  We had fun, but also had a lot of time at home to relax and enjoy each others company.  That’s what we usually like best about staycations.  🙂 On Monday we went to a corn maze, and had a blast.  It was beautiful weather, not too windy and lots of fun things to do there.  And the mazes were the best.  They had about 4 or 5 mazes, and we went in all of them, though I don’t think we made it through all of them.  It’s so hard to tell, but we got lost and turned around and…
