• 24th Wedding Anniversary

On June 11th we celebrated our 24th wedding anniversary! We decided to keep it low key this year and just drove to Jackson Hole Wy, which is a few hours away from us.  It was our first time there, and it was so much fun.  We walked around, enjoyed the sites and loved the beauty of nature. I am so blessed to be with Paul for 24 years.  It hasn’t always been easy, but I couldn’t imagine my life with anyone else.  I thank the Lord that He brought Paul into my life.  I look forward to at least 24 more years.  🙂

  • Colder Weather

It has been a very interesting and different summer for me and my family.  If you want to read about it more you can here.  Beyond that, we’ve been busy with life.  Two big things that have happened is Sarah has moved out and Paulie has gotten his drivers license!  😀  Both of those major events have truly brought us to another new phase of our lives.  We are back to a 3 person household, and we no longer need to make sure we are always available to drive Paulie to his things.  I am truly blessed we are in another new phase, but it always takes a little while…

  • Sites I like to read

I’ve been looking to make some changes, not only the look of this site, but also how I use it.  I wrote briefly about working with different social media sites and Annie Kate from Tea Time with Annie Kate suggested a site to look up, by Amy Lynn Andrews.  The minute I got on that site, I knew I was going to get a lot of info from there, and I was right.  I’m still gleaning lots of information, thanks for the suggestion Annie Kate!  😀 One of the things Amy suggests is a site called Pocket to bookmark articles you want to read later.  Between reading a lot on…

  • Photo Friday ~ 2/24

I didn’t take too many photos this past week.  I had planned to when I visited family up in the mountains, I even brought my camera.  But it was so relaxing at my sister’s, I just didn’t pull it out to take anything.  I just sat with family and enjoyed our time together.  Definitely not a bad thing, just wish I had thought of photos. I did get some other photos though, this is my latest crochet project.  It doesn’t look like it yet, but this is going to be a wrap.  I don’t like working long chains, so this is how wide it will be, and now I’m working…

  • End of Homeschooling

End of homeschooling equals the beginning of learning.  That’s what I’ve been thinking lately, that the end of our homeschool journey has been the beginning of my learning journey.  I’ve always enjoyed learning new things, though I didn’t really like school.  Once I graduated my desire for learning grew, and I wanted to take some college courses.  The change was, I wasn’t being forced to go to school and learn things that really didn’t interest me.  With college courses, I got to pick what I wanted to learn, and it was my choice to go.  I didn’t go for a 4 year degree, but did take courses for what I…
