• Sites I like to read

I’ve been looking to make some changes, not only the look of this site, but also how I use it.  I wrote briefly about working with different social media sites and Annie Kate from Tea Time with Annie Kate suggested a site to look up, by Amy Lynn Andrews.  The minute I got on that site, I knew I was going to get a lot of info from there, and I was right.  I’m still gleaning lots of information, thanks for the suggestion Annie Kate!  😀 One of the things Amy suggests is a site called Pocket to bookmark articles you want to read later.  Between reading a lot on…

  • End of Homeschooling

End of homeschooling equals the beginning of learning.  That’s what I’ve been thinking lately, that the end of our homeschool journey has been the beginning of my learning journey.  I’ve always enjoyed learning new things, though I didn’t really like school.  Once I graduated my desire for learning grew, and I wanted to take some college courses.  The change was, I wasn’t being forced to go to school and learn things that really didn’t interest me.  With college courses, I got to pick what I wanted to learn, and it was my choice to go.  I didn’t go for a 4 year degree, but did take courses for what I…

  • What’s your favorite social media site?

I’ve been thinking about social media lately.  I’m trying to streamline how I use all the different social media platforms.  I will admit that Facebook takes up most of my time, but I am starting to use others more, and that takes even more time. 😀 Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest I’ve been on for years, Instagram and LinkedIn I’ve just started last year.  I’m enjoying all of them in their own way, but none of them really connect easily to each other.  FB is mainly written updates, Instagram is for pictures, Twitter short updates, Pinterest I use more for my own personal area to save items I want to go…

  • Simple Woman’s Daybook

Outside my window…Overcast skies, but warmer.  I see snow melting, and that means a lot to us.  We have piles and piles of snow and where we haven’t touched it, we have close to two feet of snow.  I am done with the snow this season.  🙂 I am thinking…That I am totally done with winter this year.  I usually don’t mind our winters and snow, but this year, we’ve had so much snow, I’m done.  😉  I keep telling Paul that Northern Arizona is looking pretty good.  I want warmer, but I still like my seasons.  Once we get into spring, I’ll like being here again, but right now,…

  • Crafting in 2017

I have been thinking about what crafts I want to do in 2017.  I made some doilies for Paul’s mom and my parents gifts for Christmas.  They were lots of fun to make, but they seem like they will be pretty big when they are done.  I’m using this pattern here, and I only finished it half way because it was already the size I wanted.  But I think this year I’m going to try and make at least one full size.  But it does seem pretty big full sized, guess we’ll just see how it goes.  🙂 I plan on getting out more and take more outdoor photos.  Right…
