• Sarah’s 21st Birthday

It’s so hard for me to believe that we just celebrated my first born 21st birthday!  That 21 years ago I was giving birth to my first child, 21 years!  Goodness, it doesn’t seem possible.  🙂  She has been living with her roommate for the past 3 months, and that’s going well. But we are also getting used to the new normal, celebrating birthdays with her not living at home.  We scheduled it after her birthday, and had her come over for a cook out, cake and a few presents.  It was a good time, and she enjoyed it, but we all thought it was really odd when she had…

  • Paulie’s birthday

Paulie had a good birthday last week. It was simple, but fun and he was happy with what we got him and our lunch we took him on. Here are some pictures of his fun day. 🙂

  • Birthdays, baking and spring break

Today is the start of our spring break, and we are all quite excited! 😀 Paul doesn’t have the week off, but the kids do and that means I don’t have any grading to do all week. After this, we’ll only have 6 weeks left of school. I find that so hard to believe, but I know we need this break. We were all getting a bit stressed and just needed a break. We don’t have anything planned, which is fine, relaxing is all I want to do. Tomorrow, Sunday, is Paulie’s 16th birthday!! We plan on going to church, then take him out for a birthday lunch. After that…

I kept saying on that day, “I’m too young to have a daughter that old.” 😀 Ok, so I’m not really too young for that, but knowing your daughter is 17 and only has 2 years left of high school, yikes. It can make a person feel old. I’m so proud of her and excited with all that’s coming up for her. She is showing us more and more how mature she is with the decisions she makes. I think of what I was doing at her age, and I’m blessed that she is…

  • Holidays, Birthdays and Sickness

Well, it’s been an interesting week here in our household, the title says it all. We had a wonderful Christmas Eve with some dear friends. We spend every Christmas Eve with them, and this time another family and a single gentleman shared it with us also. It was a wonderful time of food, fellowship and friends. I was blessed with some sweet gifts from my friend, one of the sweetest being a background cloth for my pictures. She sewed a light piece of material and a dark piece of material together for me to use as a background when I take photos. Our carpet is a speckled blue color, so…
