• Christmas Blizzard 2016

We had a great Christmas weekend.  We went to an annual Christmas party at a friends house, which was a blast.  This was their 11th annual party, it just isn’t Christmas until we go.  🙂  We had our close friends over on Christmas eve to celebrate together, like we do most years.  It was fun and a great time.  By the time they were heading home that night, it had started snowing.  On Christmas day we woke up to a very white Christmas, but still had a blessed morning, opening up gifts, enjoying a breakfast casserole I put together the night before, and calling our parents to wish them a…

  • Thanksgiving 2016

We had a great Thanksgiving this year.  I cooked the turkey and baked pumpkin pie on Wednesday.  Sarah baked apple crisp at her house, then came over and spent the night Wednesday night.  We all got up Thursday morning and watched the parade.  It’s one of our most favorite Thanksgiving traditions.  We also had some baked oatmeal for breakfast and just enjoyed lounging around together. By early afternoon Paul and I had the dressing put together, Sarah and I had mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes ready to serve, and the turkey had warmed up nicely in the oven.  All the food was great, and we enjoyed our time together, taking…

  • Starting out 2016

As I’m looking at the start of 2016, and the ending of 2015 (ok all of 2015) I just realize more and more how truly blessed I am.  I was looking through pictures to share, going back a few months trying to find some non-snow pictures, and looking at them reminds me of my many blessings. First of course is my family.  I truly don’t know what I did to deserve the family the Lord gave me, but I am blessed He did.  My husband is truly the perfect fit for me, and my children are just such a blessing to have around.  I know in this coming year there…

  • Christmas 2015

We had such a fun, and blessed Christmas this year.  We had friends over on Christmas Eve and enjoyed a nice dinner with them.  We watched some movies, chatted and just had fun. On Christmas day, it was beautiful outside with snow on the ground and a chilly nip in the air.  We all opened our gifts and were surprised and quite happy about all of them.  Usually we make lists for each other, but this year we decided no lists.  So I was a little worried about some of the things I bought for Paul, but he enjoyed them all.  As did what we picked out for the kids. …

  • Family Outing

There are lots of great places to visit here in Idaho and the surrounding states.  We are blessed that lots of these sites are less than 5 hours away. One of my cousins and a 2nd cousin came in for a visit last week and we decided to visit one of these sites, Craters of the Moon.  Now it’s sad to say, we’ve been in Idaho for going on 12 years, and this is the first time we’ve ever visited Craters, but after this visit, we will definitely visit it again.  It was so much fun and so beautiful and I actually went caving for the first time ever.  It…
