• Is Working From Home for Me_

Is working from home for me?

Lots of people want to work from home, but have you ever asked yourself, ‘Is working from home for me?’ In my last post, I talked about how I began working from home and I do love working from home. Working from home is something I had wanted to do since our kids were young.  I’ve always liked working and keeping busy, and since I was a stay at home mom, trying to find some work to do from home seemed logical. I tried to put together a lot of work from home jobs, but not many panned out for a long time. Right before I started working at HSB…

  • Simple Woman’s Daybook

Outside my window…Overcast skies, but warmer.  I see snow melting, and that means a lot to us.  We have piles and piles of snow and where we haven’t touched it, we have close to two feet of snow.  I am done with the snow this season.  🙂 I am thinking…That I am totally done with winter this year.  I usually don’t mind our winters and snow, but this year, we’ve had so much snow, I’m done.  😉  I keep telling Paul that Northern Arizona is looking pretty good.  I want warmer, but I still like my seasons.  Once we get into spring, I’ll like being here again, but right now,…

  • Snow on the mountains

We had a vacation a couple of weeks ago.  It was a staycation mostly, but we did take a few days and go out to see my family.  My sister has a guest suite of sorts.  It’s a nice, big bedroom, with it’s own bathroom, a very comfortable bed, a couple of chairs and satellite TV (something we don’t have).  Plus we had free use of her living room every night and kitchen during the day.  We got to see family and enjoy some great time with them.  Carrie was sweet and tested about 3 different cookie recipes using GF flour, and they were all so good. Most of the…

  • My birthday

We celebrated my birthday a week or two ago, and I just have to share because my family blessed me so much.     That last picture truly shows how much my family knows me.  I love to read, listen to 50’s music, drinking out of cute mugs, and my favorite candy flavors are coconut and chocolate and caramel and chocolate.  I didn’t ask for any of these things, it was just things they all came up with on their own.  I do love my family so and I had a blessed birthday.

  • Sarah’s 21st Birthday

It’s so hard for me to believe that we just celebrated my first born 21st birthday!  That 21 years ago I was giving birth to my first child, 21 years!  Goodness, it doesn’t seem possible.  🙂  She has been living with her roommate for the past 3 months, and that’s going well. But we are also getting used to the new normal, celebrating birthdays with her not living at home.  We scheduled it after her birthday, and had her come over for a cook out, cake and a few presents.  It was a good time, and she enjoyed it, but we all thought it was really odd when she had…
