• My health is continuing to improve

I’ve talked about my surgery over the summer and the fact that I’ve been severely anemic for at least 9 months if not over a year.  I’ve just passed the 4 month mark since my surgery, and I’m blessed by my continued improvement with my health.  I still have days and times that I am exhausted and I just have to stop what I’m doing and rest, but those are becoming fewer and far between.  Sometimes I surprise myself with things I can do and not exhaust myself.  🙂 Besides feeling better, I’m starting to have more desires that seemed to have disappeared last year.  I’ve said before in my…

  • My summer continued

Like I said in another post, I’ve had some medical issues these past months.  During the middle of May, when we were trying to get schooling done, graduation set up and Sarah settled, I found I was not only highly anemic but had very low red blood count.  I knew I was more tired for the past year or so, but I was always excusing it away.  I just need to push harder, I’m not taking care of myself enough etc…  Turns out there was a very valid reason I was so exhausted.  I had to have two iron infusions, which helped some, but then I had to have surgery…

My stitches are healing well, and I’m starting to do more and more of my normal routines. I’m still not carrying anything heavy, like laundry, but I am doing other things. But I also rest when I need too. The other day I did a major cabinet cleaning in the kitchen and afterward I was tired so I took a…

  • The results from the doctor

I went to the hematologist today and talked about my low white blood count issues I’ve been having. It’s kind of long to explain, but since I’ve been asking you all to pray for me, I figured I would tell you what the doctor said too. 🙂 The appointment went good, though there was a lot of waiting and a lot of talking. First thing is first, no I don’t have leukemia, lymphoma or anything like that. He’s not extremely worried about my low white blood count since I don’t have any other major symptoms. Just a little tiredness, which could be anything. What has really worried him (and my…
