I worked hard during this photo shoot to get different angels, lines and such. It was fun trying to find such things.

I like taking pictures at the river, so many different things to take pictures of.
These flowers are in our back yard.

These are things I’ve tried cooking and baking lately. These are called Texas Cheesy Fries.

My first batch of whole wheat bread that turned out well, and tasted very yummy.

And these are simple and ‘light’ cinnamon rolls from the same whole wheat dough. Oh, they are so yummy.

This weeks photos are more outdoor photos, which I have completely enjoyed taking. We bought a new propane grill because our last one died. They are never fun to put together,
but we are always glad when they are done. ![]()

The farmers around here do a control burn to take care of the weeds on their property. When the farmer behind our house did his, you know I had to pull out my camera and get some photos.
Paul took some pictures of the clouds while we were out there.

Then later it rained while the sun was out. It was the biggest and brightest rainbow we have seen. It was still sprinkiling outside, so I was a bit nervous taking my camera out, because I have no cover for it. But I did it anyway, and glad I did, it was so pretty.

On April 14th we celebrated Paulie’s 15th birthday. It was actually a two day celebration. We took him out for his birthday lunch on Paul’s day off, then he opened presents on his actual birthday. He had a great birthday and really enjoyed the presents he got.
His big present was his first big lego project he’s ever done. He was real happy to get it.

He started working on it right away.

He got it finished in a couple of days. He is quite proud of it. ![]()

It was a slim week as far as my photography goes. I was real busy and didn’t have time to bring out my camera too much. I think if I’m too busy to take photos, I may just be too busy.
Some yummy potato & broccoli soup I made.

We had some real nice weather this week, I got to do my work outside.

This is a birds nest in a tree in our backyard.

Paul and Sarah decided to try a fresh coconut, I didn’t like it too much.

A crafty and organizational post
Though I’ve been busy this past week, I did find some time to squeeze in some crafts. I’m really getting into my crocheting, and having some fun making new things. I made a purple yarn bag for my sister, and need to start one for my mom. But before I started her’s, I needed to make something else real quick. I’m not much of a coupon person, but I do like my craft coupons. I had started collecting coupons from about 3 different stores and needed a small coupon holder for my purse. At first the thought went through my mind, “Oh, I need to go buy me something.” Then I thought, wait, I’ll just search for a pattern online and make one.
I found one and it whipped up pretty quick. There are a couple of things I’ll do different next time, but for my first one, I liked it.
I guess I tend to crochet too tight, and the corners of my projects curl. This one was no exception, which has really bummed me out. I did find a new technique that might help, well new to me. I know everyone says use a bigger hook, but that hasn’t helped me in the past. I just read about using a bigger hook for the chain and then using the right size hook for the rest of the pattern. I’m definitely going to try it on my next project. Plus, I need to do something different with the button hole, or maybe choose another way to close it. But still, I like how this first try turned out.
Since I’ve been working on so many crocheting projects I realized I really need to get my craft cabinet more organized, well at least all my yarn anyway. So the other night I pulled out all my yarn, rearranged the shelves a bit, and put the yarn back in much neater. At least now I know what kind and color of yarn I have. The cabinet could still use some more organizing, but for now it works. I’m glad I finally got it done.

These are shots from when we went to my parents house last weekend. I’m thankful we had at least one sunny morning that I could get a few shots.
This is the view from my parents driveway.

Some mountains had less snow than others.

I really like the shadows from the clouds on the mountain.

This was my favorite shadow shot.

This is one of my favorite shots with the house and the mountains in the background.

We went to my parents house this past weekend. It was a great time with family. We wanted to drive up to a beautiful reservoir for a photo shoot, but the weather didn’t cooperate with us. Thankfully on the last morning we were there, the sun did shine so I got some nice photos of the local mountains (which will be next weeks 365 Photo Creations).
This weeks 365 Photo Creations is family photos. I’m trying to learn how to take people shots. It’s still a learning process, but I’m having fun trying.
This is what my parents living room looks like when we are all camped out there.

Great Grandma with Chase, my nephews first baby, 15 months old.

I was laying on the floor trying to get this shot.

I couldn’t believe my timing catching the blocks in mid air.

Chase has got the cutest smile when he’s laughing, but he wouldn’t let me get too many shots of him laughing. I was glad I caught this one.

Yes, I am very late with getting my 365 photo project posted this week. It’s been a busy week, but at least I am taking some photos through all my busyness.
Some more pictures of my nephews new baby girl.

I tried taking some photos when I went for a walk last week. It was cloudy out and chilly, but still a nice walk.
The snow on the mountains are gone now.

This is our street. We live at the end.

This is the view from the end of our street.

I was really trying to catch the cloud formation, but my photo didn’t do it justice. I had to get my neighbors vehicles in the picture for contrast otherwise you really couldn’t see the clouds. Believe me, it was a beautiful sight.
