Do you think of yourself as creative? I don’t always think of myself as creative, but I want to be. I read so many other blogs that I think are so much more creative than me. Woman who take better photos, who create their own crochet projects, or who design their own graphics. I long to be that way, but I am not one that creates things from scratch. I wish I had that ability, but it doesn’t come naturally to me. But give me a pattern, pick out the colors, and I like to create. So I generally don’t think of myself as a creative person, but I am trying to change those thoughts.
I decided to change up my other blog and try to start considering myself a bit more creative. I read a great article about being creative, and I wrote about my thoughts on being creative here.
But being creative is one of the reasons I haven’t been blogging lately either. I’ve been working on a cross stitch project that I’m creating for Paulie, and I’m just about done with the main part of it. Of course there’s still all the back stitching which will take me a while. I will definitely take a picture of it when I’m done, but I wanted to show you where I’m at with it right now too. What do you think?
If you can’t tell, it’s a dolphin picture. Paulie really likes dolphins. I haven’t decided if I am going to make it into a pillow for his bed or frame it for his wall. Actually, he’ll make the decision when I’m done with it. I don’t know about all you other stitchers out there, but I find that back stitching can take me just as long as stitching sometimes. Well, with all this talk of being creative & stitching I think I’ll end this post and go do some more stitching right now.
