I would appreciate it if you would share this post:
It’s a blustery day here in Idaho. It’s only in the 40’s, wet and windy. I’m curled up on the couch, watching some football, playing online and getting ready to work on my cross-stitch. We have been waking up to frost most mornings, and though we are definitely in our Autumn weather, next week we’ll be up near 60. That’s about 10 degrees higher than normal. Yesterday, though it turned cloudy, the sunrise was beautiful. So I threw on a sweat shirt and some shoes and went outside to take some photos. I think the photos turned out pretty good, what do you think?
I thought they turned out pretty good, for the camera I have. 🙂 It really was such a beautiful sunrise, and then cloudy the rest of the day.
I also made myself a braided belt. I really don’t like leather and ‘hard’ belts, I’m just not comfortable in them. I prefer thin, cloth type ones. But the scarf type belts you can buy are just too expensive, and too long. So I tried crocheting myself a belt once, but I didn’t really like that one. So last week I thought, “Why couldn’t I braid myself a belt?” I finally got out the yarn and gave it a try. I think they turned out great, and it’s exactly what I like.
That long black ‘string’ I’m holding is my braided belt.
I tried to get an up close shot.
It’s simple, I know, and nothing much. But it’s exactly what I needed, and I’m glad it worked out. Sarah wants me to make her a little long one, she likes the dangling fringes. I’ll have to do that soon.
Other than that, I’ve been working on my website, Watered Garden Creations. I’m hoping to post more of my photos on there, once I get the photo site a bit more secure. I do have fun with web design work, and now that I’m exclusively using WordPress blogs, I’m hoping to learn more so I can make themes for WP. But we’ll see.
But for now I must get off the computer. Hubby is on his way home and we don’t do halloween, we always go out for a family dinner to avoid ignoring the knocks, and then watch a movie together. It’s become such a sweet family tradition, we look forward to it every year. Have a great night.
