Well, the turkey is chopped and frozen, the Christmas decorations are up and we’ve been watching Christmas movies. Yep, I think the Christmas season has finally hit. 🙂
I’m using that last photo as my background, but I’m not sure I like it. I think I need to use something different.
We started lessons again today. It went well. I’m always thankful for that. 🙂
No snow yet for us, but I don’t mind. When we get it, it tends to stay until spring, literally. So I don’t mind the first snowfall not being until later in December. I’ll be sharing photos when it does happen.
Well, I need to get grades put into the grade book and pasta started for dinner tonight. Just wanted to share some photos. Have you put up your Christmas decorations yet?

Your tree looks really pretty. We are back to school too (Monday). We got some DVD’s to supplement our curriculum, so it’s been a bit bumpy trying to figure out our new routine. Today is a busy day with swim lessons, church tonight and choir practice. Hope your week goes well. 🙂
Thanks for your comments this morning! It was a confirmation for me that I was supposed to share what I did. I had the post written & scheduled, so I was nervous all morning knowing that it would be ‘out there’. It’s encouraging to know I’m not the only one dealing with it.
We have snow, but today it is 38 degrees. Will it stay or will it go?
I don’t put up my Christmas decorations and tree until about a week or 10 days before Christmas but I keep them up until January. When your mother and I were growing up our family put the tree up Christmas Eve and took it down January 6th which was the day that celebrated the visit of the Magi and was called Little Christmas. We also hung our stockings at that time. I kept that tradition when raising my family. The church considers that the Christmas Season and the four weeks before Christmas is Advent, a waiting period to prepare for Jesus birth. Now that I don’t have children preparing with me and I only have a small table tree and nativity set I have been putting them out a little earlier.
