My Christmas Week

I am going to copy a friends post and list what my upcoming week entails so I can remember it.

Today we have a few odds and ends we need to get for Christmas. So on the last Saturday before Christmas we are going to head out to the two stores and ’embrace’ the madness. It should be a fun, well lets say, interesting time. Thankfully we don’t have to pick up a lot, but I’m finding we keep running out every couple of days, so we have our list, and we’ll hit Wal-mart and the local grocery store and get what we need. Hopefully we won’t have to go out again.

Sunday will be pretty lazy and Monday will be my normal cleaning day. Tuesday I’ll be baking two apple crisps. Wednesday I’ll make our pumpkin pie and we’ll be going to a friends house for a Christmas Eve dinner. That’s where I’ll be taking one of the apple crisps. It will be a fun time. We tried to do it last year, but a blizzard hit that day and we couldn’t make it. This year I know we’ll make it.

Obviously Thursday is Christmas, and we’ll be staying home and being cozy and enjoy watching the kids open their presents. We’ll be having a ham and mashed potato dinner with deserts, pumpkin pie and apple crisp. It will be a blessed time.

Friday I’ll be taking down all the Christmas decorations and cleaning up the house. I do this every year. We put our decorations up the day after Thanksgiving and take them down the day after Christmas. There are two reasons, one I’m just tired of them by then and two, Paul’s birthday is the 27th. So I’ll also be baking a cake that day.

So on Saturday we’ll be celebrating Paul’s birthday. It will be a blessed and fun day. Then on Sunday we’ll just rest from the previous week. We haven’t decided yet what we are doing for New Years Eve.

Well there is my list. Just like Jenn said, and I agree almost everyone will be the same way, I won’t be online much the rest of the week. If you want to keep up with what is going on with me you can follow me on my Facebook, JoAnns Journee and/or Twitter JoAnn22. Sorry if I don’t leave comments on your blogs, but we are all busy this time of year. I hope to be on again before the New Year and do a recap on if everything I had planned actually worked out, and maybe to share some pictures.

Have a blessed and Merry Christmas.
May we all remember the Lord during this season.
