Snow on the mountains

We had a vacation a couple of weeks ago.  It was a staycation mostly, but we did take a few days and go out to see my family.  My sister has a guest suite of sorts.  It’s a nice, big bedroom, with it’s own bathroom, a very comfortable bed, a couple of chairs and satellite TV (something we don’t have).  Plus we had free use of her living room every night and kitchen during the day.  We got to see family and enjoy some great time with them.  Carrie was sweet and tested about 3 different cookie recipes using GF flour, and they were all so good.

Most of the time we just hung out with family, doing crafts, enjoying time with them and relaxing in front of the fire.  My family lives up in the mountains, about 1,000 feet higher than us, and then the mountains even higher than them have snow.  We took a drive one day to took some photos of the mountains.  It truly is a beautiful area, and we love visiting out there.  And it was so relaxing to be off for a week, not having ‘to do’ anything, and just have time off.  I hope you enjoy the photos of the mountains and some early fall snow.  🙂
