I would appreciate it if you would share this post:
I haven’t been working on my crocheting as much as I would like to lately, but I am accomplishing some creative things. 🙂
First, here is what my afghan looks like so far.
I think it’s turning out pretty good, and I do enjoy working on it when I want to work on something that I don’t have to think too much about while I’m crocheting. I do hate that the corners are turning in. I’ve tried everything, using a hook 2 sizes bigger than is needed for the chain, making my stitches looser, everything I can think of. I just crochet too tight. 🙁 Maybe next time I’ll try a hook 3 sizes bigger. 😉
Besides crocheting I’ve been working on my loom knitting and I’ve made some baby hats that I want to donate to our local hospital. The first one I tried I didn’t use the two strands they suggested, so it doesn’t look to sturdy.
The second one I made I did use two strands, and I like it a lot better.
I would like to work on some more and maybe even make a baby blanket or two. I have a hard time making things without a purpose. And though I do want to build up my ‘gift’ box (you know items I have on hand to give when a birth or other event comes up) its still easier for me to stay motivated when I know I have a specific purpose for what I’m making.
So that’s what I’ve been creating lately. What have you made?

I have to have a purpose too… but sometimes it’s just to try the pattern!
oh awesome job on everything. Your afghan is beautiful and farther along then I am. You did great with the hats. Love them. I’m trying the shawl on the loom. Not sure if I’m going to like it. I’ll do a little more and see. I’m still working with the sashay off and on. You do so good when you make things. In fact anything you try turns out great. Very talented. I might be just a little prejudice. hahaha Love
Hi JoAnn, your blanket is coming along beautifully. It’s going to be a nice warm blanket to snuggle under. Once you get your border on, it corners won’t curl any longer. The baby hats are cute. I’ve never tried a knitting loom. I know what you mean about working toward a deadline. Hope you have a nice President’s Day. My husband is off work today, so no school today! 🙂
I like that afghan JoAnn. Pretty color too. I think your friend is right that the corneres won’t curl once the border is on. The hats are cute too. love, Auntie Ella
Those are so pretty, and they look so warm! So cute.
