A new scarf

First I need to say thank you to everyone testing out my new spam blocker. It seems to be working well for everyone, which I am glad about. Please let me if you ever have any problems with it.

I am really enjoying listening to audio books and working on my crafts at the same time. I tend to do so much more work because I get so caught up in a book, I like to listen to it whenever I can. I do think I will be putting a portable CD player on my Christmas list, and maybe a couple of audio books. I really wish there was a way, besides our limited library, to rent audio books. I don’t always tend to re-read books, so I don’t know that I want to spend a lot of money buying audio books. Don’t know that I would listen to them again. But I do watch the same movies more than once, so maybe I would. I still need to talk to my library about inter-library loans. I still don’t think there will be much more of a selection with that, we are the biggest library around, but I won’t give up yet.

But because of that, I have already finished the scarf I started last week, plus some more ornaments. I didn’t take any more pictures of the ornaments, but I did take some of the scarf. I think it turned out pretty nice.

Sarah modeled it for me. 🙂

Sarah really liked it, and I gave it to her. I’m now making one with the same yarn but not as wide. I want to see the differences between them. This one is working up quicker since it’s not as wide, which is good because I’m really into the book I’m listening to. 😉

I’m also thinking of making some more ornaments for some friends from the woman’s bible study I go to. I haven’t decided if I am going to try to make a matching hat to the scarf. It still seems like it’s a bit out of my ability, but maybe I’ll try it sometime. I’m just glad a found a way to enjoy my books and yet get some of my crafts done. 😀

  1. Oh, JoAnn, this turned out just beautifully!!!! Well done!!! And you’re making me itch to get back to the library and pick up several audio books…. 🙂

  2. I love the scarf JoAnn! What pattern is that??? I have no clue how you made that!

You should get the bible on audio if you don’t already have it. 🙂

  3. Wow, you are getting a lot done! The colors are so pretty, too. I like the pattern. Grace is always listening to a book on CD while she crafts or works on her room. I think you will like having a portable player, a lot.
