I would appreciate it if you would share this post:
Anyone who has read my blog for any length of time knows how much I enjoy audio books. 🙂 I like to work on things while listening to a nice story, though I can’t read blogs or read anything for that matter, while listening. I’m not that good at multi-tasking. 😉 But I can work on my crafts, edit my photos, work on technical aspects online, play computer games, things like that, while listening. I enjoy working on my crafts and listening to a good book the most.
I usually get my audio books from the library, either in CD form or download them from the online portion of my library. They even have two places I can download books from, more book options, yeah!! But I also bought some mp3 books from online too. I have a portable CD player for when I’m listening to CD’s and of course my iTouch for downloads that I listen too. I like the portability of both of those options. It makes it easy to listen to books even while cooking. But I really don’t like having a headset on all the time. I can’t easily hear my family members, and I feel like I’m ignoring my family. But any kind of portable speakers are usually too big and bulky and not really all that portable. But then I found a great solution.
I had first learned about this little gem a few months ago when I was looking at possibly buying a Nook (which I never did buy). But it never really ‘clicked’ that it would work for what I was looking for. Then as I started really looking for portable speakers, I remembered this little speaker.
I wasn’t sure how well it would sound, but the reviews on it were very good. Since it wasn’t to expensive, I thought I would give it a try. I picked it up last week and it works great. A lot better than I really thought it would. It’s rechargeable through a USB port, which makes it nice. I’m really surprised how well it does sound. Even Paul thought it sounded good, and he knows a lot about stereos, speakers etc… I’m so glad I decided to give it a try and that it works so well.
So yes, I have been listening to a lot of books in my spare time. It’s been fun, and I love all the crafts I can finish working on while listening to a good book. Though I still haven’t figured out how to write a blog post and listen to a book either. Like I said, I’m not that good a multi-tasking. 😀

We have one like it and love it. We take it camping to listen to music via our phones and pandora. It is amazing how it all works. And, like you, I didn’t think it would work as well, but it does sound pretty good. We even use it in the van to listen to sermons sometimes. I love audio books. I need to see what my library has online. I tend to forget about that option.
Thanks for sharing! We have been enjoying some audio books here, too 🙂
What is the name of this little speaker?
…and to answer your blog question…no, I don’t really plan my blog posts.
I’ve been thinking about multitasking, and I don’t think it’s possible to write and listen to an ebook at the same time, since they both use your brain. 🙂
But it is possible to listen to an ebook and cook simple recipes and clean and exercise, as you seem to know well.
That looks like a handy little speaker. I’m going to try to remember it.
I would never be able to write something and listen to anything else either. It sounds virtually impossible. How could anyone pay attention to what they are listening to and pay attention to what they are writing at the same time. To me multitasking is crocheting and watcing TV at the same time (or listening to audio books) etc Love Auntie Ella
