Christmas crafts

I’m not a big one for working on Christmas crafts during the summer months.  I know lots of good crafters work on Christmas presents, decorations and such during the summer so that they are done before the holidays.  But I just can’t seem to be able to do that.  It’s so hard to work on Christmas things when it’s hot and sunny out.

So since I only work on holiday crafts once it starts getting cold and during the holidays, the crafts need to be quick and easy.  I have found some that I have been working on and having fun with it.

This is garland I crocheted for our tree when we put it up. It was a fun, quick project and I plan on working on another one, green and red, for our mantel.

This is a closer shot. Can you see the white yarn has some fun sparkle in it It looks so nice.

I’m also working on a new Christmas place mat for our kitchen table. I have a fall one on there now, so I’m working on this one to put on the table when we pull out the Christmas decorations. 🙂

  1. Nice. Love the sparkle yarn. It will really pick up with the lights on the tree. Yep I am one of those who crafts for Christmas starting in January! All gifts are homemade this year. A goal I have wanted to reach for years.

  2. Love the garland, bring directions. Is the placemat just double crochet? I still haven’t finished a placemat. but I will. About ready for our weekend. See you tomorrow Love
