I would appreciate it if you would share this post:
Yep, I did make it to the homeschool mom’s getaway this past weekend! I’m so glad that I made it and really glad that my hubby encouraged me to go. Like I said it was more of a getaway than a retreat, meaning no teachings or anything. But it was the rest, fellowship and fun I really needed. We hung out together, ate food, chatted, did crafts, ate food, watched movies, went shopping, ate food, went for walks, did a photo shoot and did I mention, ate food. 🙂 The Lord met me there in such a special way I don’t even know if I’m going to ever really explain it. Some things are just too personal for online. 😉 But I do have lots of photos to share. Plus I’ll be sharing them on my creativity blog and I’ve put them on my flickr account. Too many to put on my blogs.
The house we stayed at was at least worth $500,000. It was huge, beautiful and near the Grand Teton Mountains. There was 4 bedrooms (one was a community bedroom) with 3 1/2 baths, 2 living rooms, a play room, a kitchen with a great island in the middle and a dining room. Here is a few pictures of the house.
Like I said we were near the Grand Teton Mountains, so on Saturday a friend and I went on a photo shoot. It was so much fun and I think I got some great pictures. Again, there are more pictures on my flickr page.
I really liked the island in the kitchen, it was so big and had chairs attached to it. It was a gathering place many times.
And this is how I ended my retreat, doing the two things I really enjoy, swinging and journaling. I really liked this swing though I didn’t use it as much as I would have liked. I was blessed on this retreat and I’m really looking forward to next years retreat, but until then I’m just going to enjoy the memories I have from this one.

Hey, that’s a really great photo of you, the one of you standing to take a picture. You really are slimming down! And wow, those mountains would be something to see in person. I am so glad you were able to go!
Wow! How exciting 🙂 I wish I had a place to “getaway” for just homeschool moms…hehe!
