Yes, you read that title right, we just finished our weekend. My husband works retail, and so our weekend days change every week. Some weeks we don’t even have them both together, but we’ve learned to adjust. Though it’s a lot easier when they are both together. Regardless, it’s nice having days off during the week.
Paul and Sarah went on a dad/daughter date yesterday afternoon to see the 3D version of the new Narnia movie, and they loved it. They said the movie was great, but the best part was it wasn’t crowded at all. Actually they thought they might be the only ones in there for a while, then a couple of others showed up. So nice not to have the weekend crowd. I’m always happy when they can spend time together like that. Paulie went to open gymnastics time, and I actually had about an hour to myself at home. I didn’t really do much, just watched a movie and ate some lunch, but it was still nice having the house to myself for a bit.
Today my parents come out and we met them at the local Chinese Buffet restaurant. It’s my dad’s favorite place to eat, and now the kids love it too. We just went there a couple of weeks ago with them, but Paul was working at the time and my dad really missed him being there. So we made sure our schedules matched and met up with them today. We had such a fun time. Here’s some pictures from it.

After that we ran a couple of errands and then came home. It was a nice time at home too. Paul played his new Wii game the kids got him for his birthday. The kids played together and finished watching a movie. And I got to spend some time writing in my journal, doing some crochet and listening to my IPod Touch. It was really a fun and yet relaxing day. I like days like that.
Tomorrow we start up with lessons again, just for two days, Friday and Saturday, so it shouldn’t be hard. I’ve been doing my Spanish lessons too, which was a bit hard to start up again. Actually I think I might do a couple of lessons tonight before going to bed. I’m behind Sarah, and would really like to get caught back up again with her so when she has questions, I know what she’s talking about. lol
I’ve been doing pretty good with taking photos every day. I got a real nice family shot today at the restaurant, it’s one of the better ones I’ve taken with my family. I’ve even got them all edited and ready for Sunday. I just hope I can keep up with this as well as I am now later in the year. Isn’t it always easier to start things strong, but not always follow through? But I’m going to do my best and try to keep up this habit of editing them before Sunday. And really, its not so overwhelming since I don’t have to post every day.
