I’ve got my table back!

Yes, I do get excited about the silliest things, I know. 😉 Here’s why I’m excited.

During the summer I had read about how good physically using a rebounder (a mini trampoline) is for your health. I really wanted to give it a try, and my mom had one I could borrow. The problem was, there was no room for me to put it anywhere. I had a table in our living room that served as my laptop, craft, work etc… table. I didn’t think I needed it all that much, and so I took it down and stored it in the garage. I moved the rocker out of our bedroom and put it where my table was and put the rebounder where the rocker was in our bedroom. I also didn’t realize how much we enjoyed having a rocker in our bedroom. I figured in our living would be good enough, but honestly I missed having a place to sit in our bedroom. I forgot it’s where I usually talk on the phone, do my devotions, and just have some time by myself. It’s funny how you don’t realize how much you use something until it’s gone or moved.

This setup lasted for about 2 months, when I decided recently that I really wanted to start learning how to do some card making (like scrapbook pages, but cards). Plus I missed having a desk when I was working, but I didn’t want to give up my rebounder either. I have really started to use it, and I like it. So what to do? I did what I always do, I prayed and asked the Lord to give me creativity in arranging our furniture. I do that a lot when I’m stuck with how to deal with less money, space, etc… I always ask the Lord to give me creativity to work with what I have, to make due. And He always answers my prayers.

The legs of the rebounder fold down, so I cleared a space under our bed and put the rebounder under there. I pull it out when I need to use it. I was wondering at first if that would make me not exercise. If I would use it a an excuse to not use it. I told my mom that, and she encouraged me to look at it as part of my workout, so smart. 🙂 This past week I made the change. I cleaned out a space under our bed to put the rebounder, moved our rocker back in our bedroom and set my table back up.

Here is my table, work, craft area:

Yes, if you look closely, I do need to clean out those drawers in my cabinet, but otherwise I have it all set up. Right after I got it set back up I made my first card for a friend of mine. I still have a long way to go with my card making, but at least I have started to try and learn this new craft. But mostly I’m just excited that I now have a place to work on all the different things I like to do. I do still want to organize it a bit more. Like I said, I need to clean out those drawers, and I think I might bring in some of my scrapbooking supplies and put them in the drawers. Making it a bit easier to start this new craft of mine. My mom is also letting me borrow her Cricut machine for a while, so I can cut out some diecuts for card making. I’m reading and learning about it online, looking at designs and patterns. I’m not really a creative type to make my own designs, but just like with my crocheting I follow patterns, with card making I’ll follow patterns too. 🙂 I’m thinking I want to make our Christmas cards this way, if I can find a design that I like.

So that’s what I’ve been doing creatively, getting myself ready to start a new craft. Like I don’t have enough crafts that I like to do already. 😀 lol

  1. I’m so glad you could put your table back out. Thats you. It looks great. I know this will help you get going on the cards. I did find a book on card making I’ll bring out. And of curse the cricut. It looks great and neat. Love it. See you soon. Love

  2. Sounds like God answered your prayer and gave you a wonderful crafting/working space. I need to rearrange our family room which is also where we homeschool. It’s a narrow space and I always struggle with furniture placement. Have fun with your card making and have a great week. Heather
